A simple jaguar build ( Morel, Microprecison, Morel, Shok In

Haary x draco
Hi guys

Got another little build for u all.

This is a little jaguar XJS ( I think), pretty old school car, but still comfortable and cool as hell.

Here’s some pics of the car

he’s running a simple 2 way active front

spkrs : Microprecision 7 series
amps: Genesis 475 AAB ( tweets and mid bass)
Genesis dual mono: Sub
Alpine amp (alpine rear spkrs)
Sub: Morel Ultimo SC

Power cable : Shok Industries 4707 CCA ( pretty old build)
2 Shok Industries 1/0 distro block.

with some lights

This is the interior

anyway, reason why the owner was back was because he wantd to change his sub woofer.

He was using a Scanspeak 9” sub previously, he beat the shit out of it, and this was the 2nd sub he blew. We have no idea why, but basically, the surround came apart from the cone and whats worse, the spider broke way from the former.

anyway, we got the new woofer box here, and I guess the ultimo SC is the star of this build.

Its new in the market, so I guess I’ll get you guys some close up pics .

some close ups

tryin to get a pic of the coil

the box all wrapped up

bolting the box down to the car

putting some hot glue on the bolt

and its done

this is the top cover, didn’t have time to snap a pic

anyway, here’s a little video for you guys 

cheers all 

Nice install mate.
One thing only bothers me - if that is ground wire on the left, why is it connected via fuse?
Cheers
headshok, very nice! Where is a front(2-way)??. I can`t see it. All is in doors?
hi there.

that is my 1/0 distro block.

if u look at it closely, there are 4 fused outputs, and 4 outputs/inputs that are not fused.

thus this block can also be used as a ground block too. my competition SQ car also uses the distro block in this way and the fuses are in that distro block are spares.

as for the front stage, the tweets are in the stock location ( in the dash) and mids in the door.

THanks guys

Cheers!
headshok, I can't understand... i see both blocks with fuses. That makes 8 fused otuputs. Am I right or not ? By the way You using all of them fo negative and positive blocks included in one ? I see two inputs there :) I was thinking about that ... that could solve all my problems :)

if u look at it closely, there are 4 fused outputs, and 4 outputs/inputs that are not fused.

Yup, I see it now. That is quite convenient.
Cheers
hi there,

sorry for the late reply, just saw this.

for the fuse block, there are 8 fuses total in the car, but 4 are positive, the 4 fuses on the ground block are " spare" fuses"

furthermore, the ground goes into the side of the fuse block whereby it does not go thru the fuses. so basically, the fuses in the ground block act as a spare and also for display :)

the same thing is done in my competition car too :)

Cheers!
headshok, thaks for Your feedback. Now I'm understand Your conception at all :)
